Epilepsy in Dogs and Cats
There is a growing recognition that a correlation exists between
food, neurotransmitter activity and behavior. A Chinese herbal formula
called Ban Xia Bai Zhu Tian Ma Tay(No prizes for pronunciation)
has been used with a mixed degree of success. Some pets have stopped
having seizures whereas other have reduced in frequency. The interesting
thing about this formulation is that it is aimed at enhancing digestion.
This in turn gives the impression that food sensitivity may be responsible
along with over nutrition.
The incidence of epilepsy is much greater in dogs than cats.
Digestive Tonic is recommended to increase food digestibility
